Visit to the Valley

In what seemed like no time after getting home from Australia, Grandpa Gordon & Grandma Dallas came to the HOT desert for a few days to see their favorite grandson! We enjoyed random outings (like IKEA, a scrapbooking store, pizza buffet lunch--things that involved indoors & air conditioning) & A LOT of sorting through the 1,000s of Australia photos while Brian was at work. On Friday, we celebrated Grandma Dallas' birthday with a yummy dinner at Abuelo's, followed by Cheesecake Factory cheesecake assortment :).
As has been typical of all of their visits, Brian had a house project that he wanted his dad's help with. So, they spent the better part of Saturday working on the side-yard fence. It's been working well since they got it all finished! While Daddy & Grandpa worked, Andrew enjoyed playing outside--both in the water & blowing bubbles with Grandma.
The rest of Saturday was just spent hanging out here at home. After their hard work, the boys thought pizza & wings sounded yummy for dinner. Andrew LOVES the BBQ wings and it shows! :) He also had been asking for "pupcakes" ever since 4th of July, so Daddy picked some up at the store. As you can see, Andrew likes those quite a lot too!
Sunday was our "fun day". My mom came over to watch Andrew in the morning and the four of us went over to the waterpark. We spent a lot longer there than we had originally thought we would. But, we hit ALL the big rides and even did a couple of them twice. Everyone was had a blast & luckily, no one got very sunburnt! After coming home and a little recovery from that, we headed over to my parents' house so they could experience swim time with Andrew. What fun!
Unfortunately, a four day visit goes by quite quickly and it was time to say goodbye. Andrew enjoyed one last story time on the couch before bedtime. And, of course, a BIG group hug! Hopefully it won't be too long before we can have another visit! :)
