One of Andrew's favorite things is 'pupcakes'. He doesn't get them very often, but he gets oh so very excited when he does. Out of the blue, 3 times last week he asked for a pupcake for snack. So, for a fun way to start off the weekend, we came home & made a batch of pupcakes. I've tried numerous times to have him help me in the kitchen, mixing and making things. But, he has never shown any interest. He's helped decorate things before, but never the making/baking stage. So, this was especially fun. You can see that Andrew enjoyed helping with every step of the process--even the tasting of the batter! :) And, we managed to stay relatively mess free--the messiest part was the cracking (more like smashing) of the eggs! We put our batter in the oven and he anxiously asked every time he heard a noise if that was the timer. I think someone was a little excited! :)
The most fun thing about baking though is the decorating (and then the eating)! :) Andrew eagerly sprinkled away with a colorful combination of green, blue, red, and pink! Then, he couldn't resist eating one of his colorful, funfetti pupcake creations! Mmmm....so good!
