Packing & Progress...

So, here's what I feel like doing:
Unfortunately, our 'ginormous' list of things to do is preventing any cozy, couch naps! The past week has been spent with a lot of packing and trips to the new house to check on progress:
- The floor around the toilet is fixed! Thank goodness!
- We bought a new toilet, which has been successfully installed and is a great eco-friendly reminder of our trip to Australia as it has a dual flush system. That's what virtually all the toilets had in Australia & it makes perfect sense!

- After a super annoying, last minute delay from Sears, we also finally have a range! Woo hoo! I'm so happy to not ever again have to clean under the burner coils and to try out new features like "rapid boil" and the convection oven!
- There was another setback with the carpet, which did NOT make the owner of the store happy. So, he successfully negotiated a free carpet upgrade! Woo hoo. The only downside is that the carpet just got in, so are working VERY hard to get everything done by tomorrow. And, it means that we haven't been able to move as much into the house yet.

So, for now, the focus is packing. Ugh! One of my least favorite tasks! We've come to the realization that there is NO way we will have every last item packed up by Saturday morning. But, I guess that's the advantage of moving just a couple of miles away (and not having a set date to be out of our house yet). Andrew and the cat certainly seem to enjoy the packing--or at least, all the boxes. :) Though, they don't exactly make the process go any faster!!!!
The Uhaul is all set to go for 7 am Saturday morning. Yeesh! Then, the moving of all the BIG things begins. Big things include the beds, so that means we only have two more nights in the old house. Surreal! We are excited, but are certainly rather stressed and exhausted. Between the aches of the last month of pregnancy (holy cow--only one more month!!!), the crazy pregnancy hormones, and the stress, I've now had my share of meltdowns! So, at this point, we just can't wait for a more relaxed, calm, and settled feeling! Hopefully that will be coming soon as we get all this stuff done. And hopefully this new little guy decides he would rather stay put for a few more weeks to allow us to get at least a little settled before he makes his big debut!
