Pumpkin Carving "Party"

It's our second annual family pumpkin party! :)
This time, with an new lil' punkin in the mix.
We had 5 pumpkins--two were HUGE! And, as you can see, the boys were quite fond!
Andrew picked the pumpkin like "Eli's head" for his pumpkin painting and just like last year, he totally loved it! And, he got to add stickers for some extra decoration too.
The boys also enjoyed helping remove pumpkin guts! This year, we saved all the seeds & will be roasting those tonight or tomorrow.
While we worked, we enjoyed spider web treats & cupcakes and Andrew did his felt build a jack o' lantern .
After all of our carving work, we ended up with a group of 4 cute pumpkins.
Sadly though, after much hard work on my mom's part in carving a Huskers pumpkin, at the very end, two of the letters collapsed. So, we ended up with a pumpkin helmet that was then cooked, yielding two HUGE pans of pumpkin.
So, I think we'll be enjoying various pumpkin dishes (like the pumpkin turnovers I made last week) the rest of this fall! :) Yummy!
And speaking of fall dishes, my mom and I are about to process over 40 pounds of apples and then we're gearing up for Halloween tomorrow. Have a 'boo'tiful day! :)
