Just like last year, we headed over to Tom & Kalleen's for some annual snow play. Unlike last year though, the weather this time was quite warm--no big winter storms this week. You can see that the big boys were dressed in more summer-like attire:
And, also, unlike last year, Andrew was eager to play. As soon as we got there, he ran right up and grabbed two fistfuls...

And, he knew just what to do with it. Ready...
aim...
fire...
He got right in there and played with the big kids...
And, he and Luke had fun chasing and throwing snow at each other--though I think poor Luke took the brunt of it (you wouldn't know by looking at them, but Luke is 15 months younger than Andrew).
Both liked showing off their big snow balls too!
This year, the boys went sledding too!
While the older ones were doing all that, poor Eli was barely hanging on. He had been napping when we arrived, but couldn't manage to sleep through all the fun. Unfortunately though, this meant he was a little Mr. Cranky Pants! We thought (ok, really, it was more like fleeting hope) that the snow & kids might perk him up. And, he did give it a thought...

But, he quickly decided that, no, it wasn't fun or interesting and in fact, he didn't like it. Not one bit!

That was apparently not the way he wanted to celebrate his 8 month birthday! :) Everyone else had a lot of fun though!
We certainly do enjoy some snow play and sometimes wish it was more than just a once a year thing, but we sure don't miss all the not fun stuff that lots of snow brings!
Don't you just love the forced fun routine with the little ones! LOL!
