Wildlife World Zoo Trip

The Monday after the Superbowl, we took a little spontaneous day trip to the Wildlife World Zoo with Tom & Kalleen.

We hadn't been as a family before, so it was cool to check out. Very different from the Phoenix zoo. Some aspects we liked better. Some we didn't like as well. But, we had a great day! Andrew and Luke had a GREAT time together!

We saw a lot of fun animals--some of the monkeys were definitely a hit!

One of the craziest things was this one-year old lion cub--

She was super interested in Andrew...like in an "I want to play around with my prey & eat it" kind of way! She was totally stalking him and at one point growled & lunged at him!! YIKES!

The very cool added feature of this zoo is the relatively new aquarium. They have a really nice collection of aquatic and swampy animals. And, have plans in the works to build more.

The albino alligator is a big hit there! Very cool!
