Zoo play dates

Thanks to Kim and her soon expiring Phoenix zoo membership, we've enjoyed two excellent zoo outings in the past two weeks! 

Here are the highlights of trip #1 (it was MUCH warmer that day & we spent a longer time there):

Eli sure was happy! 

We had some close-ups with the animals--like the monkeys, tortoises, and giraffes!

We stopped for a nice picnic lunch, complete with a few preschool zoo learning activities.

Kinley and Andrew had a great time together, checking out all the animals and playing on all kinds of different things!

 Eli did a great job and was surprisingly content just hanging out in the stroller!

Trip #2 (the day our cold front started coming in, which ended in rain cutting the trip short):

This time, we headed to the area of the zoo we missed the week before--the lions were a pretty big hit (and were fun for me to use my bigger zoom lens for)!

Before the rain came, we still manage to have some play time-and lunch of course! 

Both days were great--we definitely be doing some more zoo play dates before the weather gets too hot!!
