Trip to the Baldridge Farm

Growing up at Trinity, I have many fond memories of hanging out at the Baldridge's house with their son, Aaron, the Olson's, and the Bruce's. So, I was thrilled when Kim let me know that Elaine invited her over for Farm Days, something they put on for the Foundation for Blind Children & Trinity families. So, we planned a date and headed over there with Kim & Kinley. It was a FANTASTIC morning; one that Andrew especially absolutely LOVED!!!
Here's Kim chatting with farmer Carl and "Beulah" the sheep!
The kids loved petting and feeding so many different kinds of farm animals, like goats (one of them had just had twins just about a week before)...

...chickens...
...and bunnies...
Andrew really, really loved petting the rabbits. He wanted SO badly to take one home with us!! I think he would have stayed in this rabbit tub all day if I would have let him!
Eli wasn't quite as thrilled, but this lionhead bunny sure was cute!!
In addition to all the fun animals, we had a great time walking around the gardens and even doing some digging!
Eli really enjoyed it too! So much so that he thought maybe he should eat some dirt. He was super happy about it all until Mommy told him that eating dirt was yucky and didn't let him stick a big handful in his mouth. Then, the sad, pouty face happened!
After all of that, we had a picnic lunch and spent a little more time with the animals! We even managed to snag a few more fun pictures!!
It was such a fabulous morning! Thanks SO much to Carl & Elaine for hosting Farm Days! What great learning fun for the kiddos! Hopefully we can come back over sometime again!!
