Here's our annual "Christmas Letter", just not mailed out. Most all of my 5 blog readers ;) already know all of this, but we thought we'd go ahead and post it since it was already written.
As is the cliché, we can’t believe how fast the past year has gone by. Andrew seems to be becoming less a toddler and more a little boy so quickly. We’re sure that will seem even more so when we welcome his little brother to our family this spring! “Little brother” is due to arrive on Andrew’s 3rd birthday (April 3rd). Needless to say, spring will be an exciting time.
Two days before Christmas last year, we welcomed Sadie to our family. Overall, she has been a really good dog & Andrew really enjoys playing with her!
This summer was our biggest source of fun as we traveled to Australia and then Disneyland. We spent 12 days touring Eastern Australia with Brian’s parents & brother. Both Brian’s brother & Brian’s college roommate live in Brisbane. From the Opera House, to snorkeling on Great Barrier Reef, seeing Salt Water Crocodiles in the wild, to holding Koalas, feeding Kangaroos, & petting wombats, the trip was absolutely incredible!
A few weeks later, we had a great time sharing the magic of Disneyland with Andrew for the first time as we celebrated my Mom’s & Emily’s birthday. He had so much fun on the rides, taking in all the wonderful sites, & meeting Mickey Mouse!
Now, we are looking forward to a wonderful Christmas spent with both sides of our family, as Brian’s parents, grandmas, and one of his uncles will travel to Phoenix for about a week. Then, we’re off the Holiday Bowl in San Diego to watch our Huskers beat the U of A Wildcats!
Wishing you a new year filled with many blessings & much happiness!
Love, The Wellensiek Family
