BIG boy!

It's really hard to believe how fast Andrew is growing!  We had his two-year well check a few weeks ago.  He was just under 27 pounds and also just under 3 feet!  Incredible!!  When we get back from Australia, it will be time to wean from the paci (aka "baba" or "papa") and time to look into a real bed!  He hasn't climbed out of the crib yet, but he has definitely tried a few times and has figured out he can put his foot up on the railing.  Lately, he has wanted ALL of his animals in the crib with him and developed quite an attachment to the "pillow" (aka the boppy).  It's pretty funny!

Between all those animals, the pillow, and the fact that he keeps trying to sleep the "short way" and he doesn't really fit, it is time to get a big boy bed!  

It's hard to believe how much he is changing and looking more and more like a "little kid" each day.  His talking and vocabulary is incredible and he is now often talking in full sentences.  Other than a few 2-3 word sentences, we hadn't heard him say a long one.  Well, I took him with me to our end-of-school staff party two Fridays ago and was holding onto his shirt.  He turned around, looked at me, and said, "let go my shirt, Mommy!".  WHOA!  Where did that come from?!  So, long sentences have been happening MUCH more often now, although not all of them are quite so bossy! :)  And, the big new development this week is we seem to have some of the more basic colors down!  He is commenting on things that are the color red, blue, green, "lellow", orange, and purple with near 100% accuracy.  Very fun!
