Eli update

We have now had Eli's two month well check & a follow up visit from that. Weighing in at 15.0 lbs, he is in the 95 percentile for weight and the 75% for length & head-size. For comparison, Andrew didn't weigh 15 pounds until 4 months and that amount is now exactly half of what he weighs now. Crazy!

After talking with the Dr. at his two month check, we made the switch from regular formula to soy. That seemed to help his gas issue some, but created a whole new issue of constipation. Poor baby! And, it didn't seem to help the reflux/shrieking issue much. So, we went back about 10 days later to follow up. So, he is still on soy, but we now also give him a small bottle (like 1 to 2 ounces) of water with a little bit of dark Karo syrup to combat the new issue. And, to try to help the reflux issue, he is now on Zantac. I HATE giving him Karo syrup & having him on meds, but if it makes him more comfortable & decreases the hours of stress with a poor, screaming baby in the house, it will be best for everyone. It's all really just one big experiment to figure out what works, so we are sooo hoping this is the solution.

When he is feeling good though, he sure is cute (as evidenced by one of my new favorite pictures above)!! He is becoming much more animated as we approach the 3 month mark! Fun stuff! So, I'll leave you with a little glimpse of happy Eli! (Pardon my baby talk voice) :) Enjoy!
