New "Dos"

Andrew and I have been in desperate need of haircuts recently. Mine hadn't been cut since just before Christmas! And, Andrew's hadn't been cut since about 2 weeks before Eli was born and she left it a little long then. Although at times it was a cute "surfer dude" look, his was getting so shaggy that I could have put almost all of it in a pony tail. And, mine was getting soooo long & heavy I could really do anything with it. So, off we went to pay Zorica a much-needed visit.
Here's a glimpse of Andrew before:
During the cut, Andrew did a great job. In fact, it was the best time yet. He sat up in the big chair by himself and even wore the "cape". With the help of some dinosaurs, a squirt bottle, and a "popsicle" (lollipop) reward for the end, he managed to sit pretty still and listen very well. I told her to cut it short to keep it cool for the summer. He seriously has SO much hair--crazy. As she was cutting the top, he had quite the mohawk going.
She tried, without success, to convince me to let her cut it in a little "fauxhawk" style! :) Instead, he is sporting such a little boy look!
"I'm all done, Cheeese"!
This little boy was such a good little helper too. He helped Zorica sweep up all his hair. Then, he wanted to stay to watch me get my hair cut (the original plan was to have my mom take the boys home) and did a good job then too. While she cut my hair, he even used the broom all by himself to clean up my hair.
And, speaking of my hair, I decided to go a little more "drastic" this time. I wanted to cut a significant amount off--only requirement was that I could still pull it back. It was just way too long to be manageable or to do in a reasonable amount of time. Blow-drying that amount of hair is not my favorite thing and hasn't really been happening often, seeing as though finding time to just shower is difficult some days.
This picture is old, but is the best one to show what my hair was like before:
Then, I decided to get really crazy (ok, not really, because let's face it, I'm not very crazy when it comes to stuff like that) and go back to bangs. I pretty much had bangs all throughout childhood, high school, and college. Then, just got sick of doing them and let them grow out while I was in grad school. So, it's been 6 or 7 years since I've sported the bangs look:

So, Andrew and I are all ready for the hot summer months with our new, cooler summer "dos". :)
