5 month old Eli!

Eli did indeed roll right into his 5-month birthday and decided to make huge strides in his gross motor skills development at the same time. The day after his first roll, he found his toes and hasn't looked back! Toe-grabbing continues to be a favorite activity!
Then, the following Friday, Eli got to take his first plane trip. And the next day, on his 5-month birthday, Eli got to hang out on the University of Nebraska campus--where he showed off even more developmental skills by sitting unassisted for the first time! So, he spent the week at Grandma & Grandpa's practicing those sitting skills. He is still falling over from time to time and hasn't yet figured out how to get himself back into a sitting position. But, he is quite pleased with himself nonetheless.
Upon our return from the trip, we had to do Eli's monthly crocodile shoot (about 1 week late).
And, as always, Andrew likes to join in. This time, leg-lifting was apparently the thing to do.
And then, "forget pictures Mom, let's just eat the crocodile instead..." Boys!
Perhaps our favorite thing about this stage is all the laughing, cooing, and in Eli's case, screaming (he squeals, shrieks, and screams all the time)! So, I'll leave you with some fun 5-month old Eli giggles & shrieks!
