4 month update

We finally had Eli's 4-month well check. His head pulls to one side, so we have to do some stretching exercises that he does NOT enjoy. But, otherwise, everything looks great and were reassured that developmentally he is right on track. I was concerned that he isn't rolling over or grabbing his toes yet (Andrew started doing both in the middle of July). But, the Dr. said that it's probably just because of his size--the bigger guys apparently tend to reach some of those gross motor skills a little later as their big bodies tend get in the way a bit. And, he is definitely bigger than Andrew to be sure! Have a look:
Amazing how just a pound/inch or two makes such a BIG difference on such little bodies. The outfit Andrew has on in that picture is size 0-3 months & fit him fine. Sadly, I couldn't even get it on Eli! In fact, we just bought Eli some new onesies in size 9 months (they are at least a little big, but not huge)!!! So much for Eli being able to use all of Andrew clothes! Eli will need his own new winter wardrobe!
Right now, he's on his playmat, grabbing at some toys...
and fighting his first cold. He's got a baby runny nose & a little cough. Luckily no fevers and it doesn't seem to be getting too bad, so we're hoping it continues that way and just clears up quickly.
Other than (hopefully) rolling over & toe grabbing, we're looking forward to him sitting up (he wants to SO badly & keeps doing little crunches in an attempt to try) and starting solids within the next two months! :)
